SUMMARY:International Leaders' Summit
DESCRIPTION:Registrations for this event are now closed. \nFor the first time\, ACSI Australia presents the International Leaders’ Summit\, held over two days\, Friday and Saturday\, 27 & 28 November in 2 x 2-hour sessions. \nThis event is open to school leaders\, or those in leadership positions in schools across Asia Pacific. The topic for this event is Flourish: A Vision for Christian Schooling.\nFlourish: A Vision of Christian Schooling imagines a world where Christian Schools provide the benchmark of what it is to live a flourishing life. We also hope to show how flourishing is a fundamental aspect of Christian discipleship. From academic excellence\, to the formation of deep character and spirituality this resource inspires\, empowers and equips you to step into your vocation as a staff member at a Christian School with pride and enthusiasm. Flourish is made up of four modules: Vision\, Culture\, Faith and Practice. You will receive an invoice after you have registered. \nDOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM HERE \nPlease note the program and speakers are subject to change. \nSPEAKERS \n\n\n\n \nDr Daniel Pampuch \nCEO\, \nChristian Schools Australia\nDr Daniel Pampuch has been Chief Executive Officer of Christian Schools Australia since 2017. He was previously the Executive Officer of the Uniting Church Schools Commission\, Queensland. Daniel has 25 years of experience in Christian Education and most recently served as the Executive Principal of the Crest group of Christian schools and Early Learning Centres. \nDaniel has a PhD in Next Generation Leadership\, as well as Masters in Business\, Educational Leadership\, and Theology. Daniel is a fellow of several professional institutions\, including Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders\, Governance Institute of Australia and Institute of Chartered Secretaries. He is a regular presenter at the Governance Institute of Australia. \nDaniel also serves on the Global Council of the Association of Christian Schools International\, which oversees 26\,000 schools globally and supports 6.5 million students. He is married to Tanya and their two sons attend a Christian school in Queensland.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nDr Rob Loe \nExecutive Officer (VIC/TAS)\, \nChristian Schools Australia\nRob joins CSA from Cambridge in the United Kingdom\, where he has been serving as the CEO of a research foundation\, having previously undertaken the role of Research Director which took him around the globe working with teachers\, leaders and governments in Europe\, North America\, Africa and Asia. \nHe is the founder of Relational Schools\, a project of the Relationships Foundation\, a charity built on biblical values and with a biblical perspective on contemporary issues underlying trends in society. Their belief is that the Bible describes a coherent vision for society that has enduring relevance for the world in the twenty-first century. At the heart of this social vision is a concern for right relationships.Rob graduated from Cambridge University in 2001 with a Double First-Class Honours Degree in English Literature with Education Studies. After a year of post-graduate study\, he went on to teach English (Literature and Linguistics)\, Drama\, Film and Media Studies and held leadership roles including: subject Faculty Head; Assistant Head of Senior School; Director of Vocational Learning and Assistant Principal of a large college in the East of England. He left teaching to pursue a research career in 2013 and return to doctoral study at the IOE in London with the College of Teachers\, now the Chartered College of Teaching. \nRob and his wife Helen live in Melbourne with their two children.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nMark Ryan \nExecutive Officer (SA)\, \nChristian Schools Australia\nMark began as an Executive Officer with CSA at the beginning of 2019. Prior to this he was Assistant Principal – Christian Life and Mission at Temple Christian College in Adelaide\, South Australia. \nMark has a background in both education and theology and has worked as a teacher and a pastor. He has a passion for biblical literacy\, worldview and its application to culture\, learning and vocation. Mark is on the Board of Directors and teaching faculty of the Compass Foundation. He is also the co-founder and Board Chair of the ConnectEd Cambodia foundation. Mark loves watching sport and cycling through the beautiful Adelaide hills. \nHe is married to Jane and they have three teenage children.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nDr Darren Iselin \nDirector of Research and Innovation\, \nChristian Schools Australia\nDarren’s responsibilities in his role as Director of Research and Innovation include the ideation\, development\, publication and promotion of thought leadership and a diverse range of strategic research efforts and initiatives for CSA and its member schools. As an extension and complementary aspect of this role\, he is also responsible for supporting\, engaging and partnering with CSA’s tertiary partners and facilitating and promoting innovative research projects between CSA and tertiary providers. \nDarren has considerable leadership experience within Christian education\, and has served in a wide range of principal and senior leadership roles and responsibilities within both K-12 schooling and higher education sectors. Before joining CSA in 2018\, he was President of Christian Heritage College\, a fully accredited\, multidisciplinary tertiary provider of approx. 850 students in Queensland. Prior to this role\, he was Headmaster of Heights College\, a thriving Christian school of 820 students in Rockhampton. \nDarren has completed extensive formal study including: Bachelor of Teaching\, Bachelor of Education\, Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy. Darren’s PhD was titled: How Principals are cultivating Sustainable School Cultures Within Christian Schools During Changing Times. Darren’s thesis was awarded the Grassie-Basset prize for best thesis in Educational Administration from The University of Queensland and the Research in Educational Leadership Management Award from the Australian Council of Educational Leaders (ACEL).\n\n\n\n
